COVID-19 UPDATE 01/01/2024

MESSAGE FROM DR OZOG
As you know,  COVID-19 continues to be a concern for everyone.  The CDC still recommends that masks be worn.  Again, we want to assure you that we have implemented multiple precautions in our office for everyone’s safety.  We continue to screen all patients prior to arriving to the office.  Our front desk staff will be asking you key questions about your current health and inform you of visit requirements.    Persons entering the office must sanitize their hands immediately,  wear a mask and observe social distancing.  We are fortunate to have a very large waiting room, where social distancing is feasible and this can be accomplished when coming for office visits or allergy shots. To limit the number of people in our waiting room for the safety of other patients and staff, Minors patients should only be accompanied by one adult and Adult patients should only enter our office with another adult if medically indicated.  Also, we have increased cleaning measures throughout the office, exams rooms are thoroughly sanitized between each patient visit. These are just a few of the many procedures that are performed on a daily basis.

Biologic therapy such as Xolair, Duplixent Nucala and Fasenra will continue.  And, allergy shots need to be scheduled.

As summer continues, we anticipate the onset of allergy and asthma symptoms for many patients. It is critical to remain healthy, especially at this time and to have these symptoms well controlled. We will remain open and available to meet the needs of our patients to prevent the need to visit an emergency care setting for management of asthma and allergy flares. With that said,  we have added the option of TeleHealth visits with our providers.  TeleHealth visits will be more on a selective, case-by-case basis, based upon the approval from a Provider.  While TeleHealth visits served as a valuable, viable option for Patients to continue care during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, they cannot replace the benefit and value of an in person office visit, specifically a thorough physical exam. We listen, we care, we value you as our Patient and we want to provide you with the highest level of quality care. Please be assured that we will continue to follow the safety protocols we currently have in place regarding COVID-19 per the CDC guidelines.

As always, thank you for your understanding and cooperation, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time. Remember, “We Listen, We Care”.

COVID-19 Updates…
As the Corona Virus (COVID-19) continues within the US, here at DIANE L. OZOG, M.D. & Associates, we are committed to the health and safety of our patients, providers and employees. We are constantly monitoring the CDC, IDPH and WHO websites and taking necessary precautions. In light of the recent developments, we have instituted additional measures to keep our patients and staff healthy.

Please be advised that Front Desk staff will have you complete a questionnaire in the screening process. Patients must be symptom free to enter our office.  Hand washing will be necessary for everyone entering.

Please call our office at 630-652-0606 or use our website MESSAGE PORTAL  if you do require care, please do not come into the office,  if you feel you may have COVID-19 symptoms or might have been exposed to someone with the virus.   Using our Telehealth Visit will be a good solution.

We regret that we must restrict our patient care this way. We are serving our patients in the safest manner possible by following the advice of the CDC under these difficult circumstances. You will see our staff wearing masks and gloves. Cleaning precautions have taken place throughout the office and all exam rooms are thoroughly sanitized between each patient visit.

In doing this, we will safeguard the health and safety of our patients, our care providers, and the whole community. We hope you understand, and we thank you for your cooperation.
Diane L. Ozog, M.D. & Staff
